In 2009 limited-production
Nissan GTR SpecV went on sale at seven specially selected Nissan
dealers
throughout Japan staffed by mechanics with special GT-R SpecV
training and are knowledgeable of racing
circuit driving. The Spec V designed for enthusiast drivers who
would like race car performance in a
street-legal vehicle.
Changes made
on the exterior from the base GTR consist of a an exclusive Ultimate
Black Opal paint job,
along with carbon fiber rear spoiler, grille, and brake ducts.
Changes on the interior include a set of carbon fiber Recaro bucket
seats and the rear seats have been completely removed. Carbon
fiber covers the instrument panel and center storage box.
The GTR Spec V has the standard twin-turbo 3,799 cc (3.8 Litre)
V6 with no increase in horsepower. A new high gear boost control
device, which momentarily increases boost of the engine's twin
turbochargers for greater torque in the intermediate-to-high speed
ranges for more powerful acceleration, while also improving fuel
economy.
