The 1998 NISMO Skyline GTR JGTC " Pennzoil NISMO GTR" won the All Japan GT Championships. The engine displacement for 1998 was increased from 2,658cc to 2,708cc, and maximum output topped 500PS.

The drivers were E.Comas/Masami Kageyama. The pair were crowed champions at round 7 of the JGTC in Sugo with a total of 67 points, which gave them a comfortable 17 point margin over of their nearest rivals.
