In 1990 Nissan stopped competing in the Le Mans, and NISMO took its place. The Skyline-based NISMO GT-R LM was entered in Le Mans in 1995 and 1996. The NISMO GT-R LM was modified to 2WD (FR) drive, which is a better choice for heavy vehicles. It was 10th overall and 5th in its class and was powered by a Group N specification engine.
