Reintroduced
with the R32, the Nissan Skyline GTR Group A made its debut at
the opening race of the All Japan Championship in March 1990,
after the cancellation of the skyline GTR in 1973 the car was
bought back in 1989.
Under Group
A regulations, a turbocharged engine must multiply its engine
displacement by 1.7, putting the new Skyline in the 4000 cc class
a and also required the use of 10" tyres. a special motorsport-oriented
AWD system for this purpose called the ATTESA E-TS was developed
by nissan though this assisted with traction. much more specs
were changed and modifications made with the result of 600 horse
power.
